Location Data: To show you the cheapest fuel prices nearby, FuelMate requires access to your device's location. This location data is processed locally and sent ephemerally to our mapping and pricing APIs strictly to retrieve relevant stations. We do not store your location data on any external servers, nor do we track your location history.
Saved Data (Local Storage): Any settings, preferences (like your preferred fuel type), or locations you choose to save (e.g., "Home" or "Work" postcodes) are stored entirely locally on your device. We have no access to this data.
While we do not store your personal data, FuelMate uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, specifically for the purpose of serving advertisements and providing map functionality.
Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may automatically collect certain information about your device, such as your IP address, device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), and app usage data to serve personalized ads. You can manage your ad preferences or opt-out of personalized advertising through your device's system settings.
Google Maps: We utilize the Google Maps SDK to display interactive maps and calculate distances. Your use of the map features is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
Because we do not transmit your personal data or saved locations to our own servers, the security of your data relies on the security of your personal device. We strongly recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and utilizing a passcode or biometric lock.
FuelMate does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Given the nature of our App (assisting licensed drivers with vehicle fuel), the intended audience is strictly users of driving age.
